THE COMPANY

A world-class access control system that was simple to use and extremely efficient, giving users the ability to control all their access needs and secure all their doors without complex and expensive wiring. Such a solution had to be simple to install and set up, cost-effective, reliable, complete and future-proof. What resulted was our pioneering SVN platform — the first stand-alone, battery-powered electronic locks for access control.

INNOVATION

Innovation is one of the most critical factors behind SALTO. The inspiration and ideas for new products come from a variety of sources, but none more important than their customers. Real market feedback is critical. Another source of input are the new electronic and information technologies. These developments can often allow functionalities which were previously impossible.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Like all elements of SALTO, at the centre is the team. In the case of R&D, the team is structured into three areas to best focus on the main areas of development: Mechanical, Electronics, and Software. SALTO jumped onto the access control map with its data-on-card technological innovation and they know that to stay a leader in this increasingly competitive landscape, investment in people, capabilities and equipment is critical to reach their research and developmental goals.
