O'Brien's was started in the 1960's as a division of F. G. O'Brien Industries (established in the 1930's and later to become O'Brien Glass).
F.G. O'Brien was a major shopfront and glazing company and the new division specialised in door service and locksmithing to grow with the changing needs of our clients.

This division was to become a separate company in 1971 - W. F. O'Brien Pty Ltd. Under it's current management, W. F. O'Brien Pty Ltd continues to develop lock and door service expertise. Our locksmith division are members of the Master Locksmiths Association of Australia and are both D.E.W.E.R and S.C.E.C endorsed.

Door Closer Services was a North Sydney business acquired in 1972 for it's specialist expertise in the repair and maintenance of door closers.

W. F. O'Brien Pty Ltd has grown with the commercial needs of our client's to become one of New South Wales most respected Locks, Doors and Associated Hardware organisations with friendly helpful staff and mobile units.

Servicing our client's in the Sydney metropolitan area, as well as large inter-state customers, we provide a unique expertise in, and total client driven solutions, for all aspects of Locks, Doors and Associated Hardware.

We provide an extensive range of services for some of Australia's leading companies and Government bodies in all aspects of security, including an after hours emergency service with our head office and factory in St Peters.

Master Locksmiths since 1972, we have trained staff and a knowledge of lock products that is highly regarded. Two of our specialties being Bilock (founder distributor) and Master Locksmiths Association Restricted Key Systems.

Door Services, our specialist door expertise is used by national glass and security companies. Service of all door closers, toughened glass, steel, and fire doors etc. We distribute, supply and service door closers and was the original distributor and NSW warranty service agent for "Dorma Door Controls".
